Read more on her bio below:

My name is Meg Cerven. I am a SLP at WPTT who specializes in myofunctional therapy from infants to adults. During my school at Mercy University, I studied under an orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) at an ENT’s office in Goshen, NY. I quickly became very interested in myo therapy and after graduating became certified myself. I have worked with a range of clients including adults who would like better speech clarity when public speaking for their occupations, infants who have difficulty latching during feeding, picky eaters who avoid foods that are difficult to chew to limited range of motion, and mouth breathers who are hoping to avoid removing their adenoids and retrain their oral habits.

Why Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy?

This specific therapy is used to correct the improper function of the orofacial complex (tongue, lips, jaw, soft palate and larynx). It helps to address/retrain poor oral habits related to:

  1. Mouth breathing

  2. Improper chewing and swallowing

  3. Tongue tie thrust

  4. nail /lip biting

  5. Thumb sucking/ pacifier use
